Arc from The Browser Company
Currently, I’m trying out Arc browser, from The Browser Company. It’s opensource and based on Chrome/Webkit. It has a different feel than typical browsers, and I’m starting to like it. What I like the most so far is the Spaces feature. It makes it easy to organize sets of tabs. What I found strange is that every tab is automatically archived after 6 hours or so, which is very different than I’m used to. I keep browsers open for a while that I want (eventually) read. I wouldn’t mind it if archives were directly integrated with the spaces for faster retrieval.
Another shortcoming is the lack of android support.
It supports my favorite chrome plugins seamlessly so far.
Although I mostly use Firefox, I have it as my default browser on my Mac until I make up my mind on it… don’t fail me 🙂
